University of Buenos Aires FADU-UBA & Walter Gropius Chair (DAAD) ‘EDGE EFFECTS IN URBAN ECOTONES‘ lecture and research workshop
Lecture:
On the 7th of October there are lectures at the LCJ Chair, Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism FADU-UBA by Benita Braun-Feldweg „AGGLO Maker Space Berlin“ together with Prof Sabine Müller, SMAQ Berlin Architecture and City, Architecture School Oslo „Urban ecotones“.
Workshop:
On the 10th of October a workshop is conducted by the Cluster of Excellence ‚Contestations of the Liberal Script’, Freie Universität Berlin FU in cooperation with the Walter Gropius Chair (DAAD), Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism, University of Buenos Aires FADU-UBA.
The workshop is fostering resiliency in contemporary urban redevelopment districts in Berlin and Buenos Aires: the Ex-Flower Market in Berlin’s Südliche Friedrichstadt, the redeveloped Puerto Madero and the Ex-Estacion de Buenos Aires districts, and the Ocho de Mayo district in San Martin, in the greater Buenos Aires metropolitan area.
Benita Braun-Feldweg participates in the two one-week research workshops which are staged, one in Buenos Aires from 6 to 12 October 2024, and one in Berlin, from 21-28 November 2024.
Each workshop gathers selected academic and non-academic actors to familiarise with each other and with selected sites of study, to sharpen the scope of the intended research application.
