„What Kind of Resources do we Share?“ Concluding Symposium – DFG KOPRO Int. 29th – 31th of Jan. 2024
Es geht um Konzepte von Koproduktion und dem daraus resultierenden Einfluss auf die Entwicklung von inklusiven urbanen Räume. Als Forschungspartnerin seit 2021 nimmt Benita Braun-Feldweg mit den verschiedenen Sichtweisen als Architektin, Entrepreneurin und Kuratorin, am Abschluss-Symposium DFG KOPRO Int. in Frankfurt teil.
Organisiert wird die Konferenz von Prof. Dr. Paola Alfaro d’Alençon mit Team, Fachgebiet Städtebau und Entwerfen im internationalen Kontext, Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, in Kooperation mit dem DAM – Deutsches Architekturmuseum und der Stadt Frankfurt am Main – Dezernat Planen und Wohnen.
Mit einem Input-Vortrag „Commons and Governance?!“ erläutert Benita Braun-Feldweg anhand des Fallbeispieles Metropolenhaus am Jüdischen Museum die Voraussetzung von koproduktiven Prozessen und Erfordernissen. Bereits in der ersten Forschungsphase hat Benita Braun-Feldweg einen Vortrag mit dem Thema „The Architect´s Role in Co-Production“ am Beispiel METROPOLENHAUS am Jüdischen Museum in Berlin gehalten.
„Als Architektin liegt der Schwerpunkt für mich auf dem Konzept des Hauses „oikos“ und davon ausgehend der Wirtschaft „oikonomia“ als treibende Kraft für Architektur und Stadtgestaltung. Dies geht über die Betrachtung von Kapital und Gewinn im monetären Sinne hinaus und betont den nachhaltigen Aspekt der Wertschöpfung durch „caring“ und „commoning“.

It is about concepts of co-production and the resulting influence on the development of inclusive urban spaces. As a research partner since 2021, Benita Braun-Feldweg participates in the final symposium DFG KOPRO Int. in Frankfurt with the different perspectives as an architect, entrepreneur and curator.
The conference is organized by Prof. Dr. Paola Alfaro d’Alençon and team, Department of Urban Planning and Design in an International Context, Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, in cooperation with the DAM – Deutsches Architekturmuseum and the City of Frankfurt am Main – Department of Planning and Housing.
With an input lecture entitled „Commons and Governance?!“, Benita Braun-Feldweg will use the case study of the Metropolenhaus at the Jewish Museum to explain the prerequisites for co-productive processes and requirements. In the first research phase, Benita Braun-Feldweg already gave a lecture on „The Architect’s Role in Co-Production“ using the example of the METROPOLENHAUS at the Jewish Museum in Berlin.
„As an architect, the focus for me lies on the concept of the house “oikos” and from there, the economy “oikonomia” as the driving force for architecture and city-making.
This extends beyond the consideration of capital and profit in the monetary sense, emphasizing the sustainable aspect of value creation through „caring“ and „commoning.“
