Wilkhahn Showroom
Culture, Interior
In 2000, the office furniture manufacturer Wilkhahn converted their facility for product sampling into a showroom. To present the products, screens showing high-resolution images of people were used as adjustable room dividers.
By playing with the sharpness of the images, an atmosphere was created in which the screens themselves disappeared into the background, allowing the furniture, the chairs, the tables, and the conference experience to come to the fore. In this way, the human becomes the scale of reference and animates the space.
